COVID 19 Policy
Following the easing of lockdown measures in England, we are able to resume our First Aid Training Services.
How we are making First Aid and Mental First Aid Training safe for you, your colleagues and us:

We will be adhering strictly to the advice of Public Health England and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Mind Gains has risked assessed its training delivery and mitigated all relevant risks of the possible spread of COVID 19.

We have designed our lessons and delivery methods that respect the government’s 1 metre plus recommendations (where possible), however close contact may be required for teaching or assessment in some circumstances.

Mind Gains will ensure appropriate handwashing facilities and/or alcohol hand sanitiser is available as students enter and exit the training space and throughout their course.

All equipment used by learners (including manikins) will be thoroughly cleaned before each training course.

Manikins will be provided with new one-way-valves and lungs for every training course.

Where manikins are shared, Mind Gains will issue each learner with a CPR face shield for their individual use. Learners will be responsible for the sanitisation of the manikins after every use, Mind Gains will ensure learners are provided with the necessary sanitising products.

On arrival, Mind Gains will screen all Learners and exclude anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, which are a new continuous cough and/or a temperature >37.8°C and/or a loss of taste/smell.

Potential learners who are in a situation where they should be self-isolating (e.g. a family member has had symptoms or the Learner should be shielding as they are in an at-risk group), should not be considered as a candidate for training.

Mind Gains will remind Learners that no one should touch their mouth, nose or eyes unless they have just washed their hands or sanitised.

Mind Gains will provide gloves for the relevant practical sessions to all Learners.

Face-coverings will not be provided but Learners are welcome to wear their own should they wish.
Can we provide training at your premises?

We can provide onsite training at your premises as long as we have the availability to do so and you are able to provide the required social distancing and infection control measures at your site.

Mind Gains in partnership with yourselves will assess the premises details prior to the organising of the course.
